How Is Scripture Powered?

The greatest source of energy we know of is our sun. It rises and sets above Mount Sinai every day. Yet, even the sun is less powerful today than when God wrote the Ten Commandments with His own finger 3,500 years ago on this mountain.

While the energy of the sun has decreased over the millennia, the words of Scripture are as powerful as ever.

Because the words of Scripture are the revelation of the all-powerful Creator of the universe. God spoken everything into existence. His very breath gave life to Adam.

Furthermore, He declares that  His Word is living and powerful, able to divide the indivisible, able to discern our thoughts and the intents of our hearts (Hebrews 4:12). The Holy Spirit works through the Word to bring us to life (James 1:18; 1 Peter 1:22-25), and thus our minds are renewed and our lives are transformed (Ephesians 4:23; Romans 12:2).

In sum, we can know things past and yet to come; we can relate directly with our Father in Heaven; we can tap into the power source of the Creator of the universe by plugging ourselves into the Word of God Himself—the Scriptures.
