Leaning On Jesus

Believers in the Lord Jesus Christ, like Moses before us, are strangers in a strange land. This sin-cursed world is not our home. Our citizenship is in heaven (Phil. 3:20) and we long to be at home in the heavenly Jerusalem with our eternal family. On the way, we face many dangers, toils, and snares. Yet God is faithful to keep His promises and will lead, guide, and protect us until He brings us to our heavenly rest. Take courage, dearly beloved of the Lord, He will complete that which He started. Press on toward the prize, leaning on Jesus. The sermon outline on Acts 20:1-16 is as follows:

  1. Man plans his way but the Lord directs his steps
  2. A refreshing break from the road
  3. “Next year in Jerusalem”
