Providence, Prudence, and Prayer

The salvation accomplished by our Lord Jesus Christ and applied to undeserving sinners like us by the Holy Spirit is vastly greater than simply deliverance from sin and death (i.e. fire insurance). The believer is being transformed into the image of Christ (2 Cor. 3:18). This process of sanctification involves both divine grace and human gratitude (faith in action). Are you aware of God’s gracious involvement in your life? If so, how should you respond? The main point for the sermon below based on Genesis chapter 32 are as follows:

  1. Providence provides the opportunity to grow
  2. Prudent action is required 
  3. Persevering prayer is a prerequisite
