Our Lord Jesus Christ gained the ultimate victory at the cross and He continues to go forth conquering and to conquer (Rev. 6:2). And those found in Him enjoy the fruits of His victory. Thus we join the Apostle Paul who exclaimed “But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ” (1 Cor. 15:57) and “Now thanks be to God who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and through us diffuses the fragrance of His knowledge in every place.” (2 Cor. 2:14). And how do we participate? The Apostle John answers “For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world — our faith” (1 John 5:4). The main points for the sermon (below) based on Exodus chapters 13 and 14 are as follows:
- The Lord leads in unexpected ways?
- What are we going to do now?
- What is the Lord going to do now?
