“For in Him we live and move and have our being” (Acts 17:28). This is the ultimate environment in which we live, more essential to our existence than time, space and energy/matter (i.e. the universe). Everyone lives in relations to the living and true God. Thus, it is very important how we live because it is important to Him. Even more so for those whom He has personally bestowed His name upon through baptism. How can we glorify that great and awesome name above all names? Simply by not taking it in vain (i.e. living consistently with who we are in Christ). The main points for the sermon (below) based on Exodus 20:7 are as follows:
- What’s in a name?
- Why is it important to take the name?
- How do you hallow the holy name of the Triune God?
