Faithfulness Unto The Lord

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ: According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him” (Eph. 1:3-4). In other words, our salvation is unto glorious holiness and the Holy Spirit is at work changing us into the image of the Son of Righteousness. Therefore, “as He who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct, because it is written, “Be holy, for I am holy.” (1 Peter 1:15-16). The main points for the sermon (below) based on Exodus 20:14 are as follows:

  1. Adultery is covenantal unfaithfulness (unholiness)
  2. The goal of this commandment is purity in life (holiness)
  3. Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh
